Summer Date Ideas

This summer, my mind is filled with so many fun date ideas, but I don't have any boys to go on these adventures with me. But I thought I should share my ideas so someone else can live out my dreams this summer!

1. Exploring creeks/waterfalls. I could spend my whole life playing in creeks, and swimming in waterfalls is such a blast! Pair this with a picnic and an adorable swimsuit.

2. Water balloon volleyball. This is so much fun to do on a group date!! Each couple holds the ends of a towel, and everyone throws and catches water balloons using only the towels!

3. Go canoeing/rafting/tubing.

4. Art museum, paired with the most unique restaraunt.

5. Sidewalk chalk. I think this date has endless flirting opportunities! Try to make the longest hopscotch game, or go draw all over a friend's driveway. End the day washing it all off with a waterhose and then have popsicles!

6. Outdoor movie night with a sheet and a projector, and make lots of snacks!

Hope you all enjoy your summer romances :)

Pretty & Printable Inspiring Quotes

So, as many of you know, I'm going to girl's camp next week! I will be a camp leader and I get to lead a group of girls & teach devotionals and such. One of my favorite parts of camp is getting inspiring little handouts that I can put on my bulletin board or in a notebook. So, obviously, I just had to make some of my own to give to my group of girls. The theme this year is "Come unto Christ" and so I looked for my favorite quotes about our Savior and especially the Atonement. Feel free to print these out!

The Secret to Shopping at Ross

Once upon a time, on several different occasions, I would compliment a friend on their lovely outfit, only to receive a reply that would put me a millimeter away from throwing a full blown fit.

"Thanks, I got it at Ross."

What?? How on earth do you find anything cute at Ross?

Let me tell you- patience. In my inexperienced days, I would walk into Ross and wonder how anyone found anything remotely wearable, let alone beautiful. But, on a normal shopping day, my expert friend Maddy enlightened me. While I would quickly walk up and down aisles, she would look a little more closely. She pulled out a gorgeous shirt from the rack that I had walked right past. That's how I knew I had been doing everything wrong. The rest of the time we spent there, I meticulously went through most of the racks in the juniors section.

Oh my goodness! The lovely things I found!

The key to finding a gem at Ross or any store like it- Marshall's, TJMaxx, etc- is patience. A different frame of mind is essential to finding what you're looking for. Unlike other stores where you walk in and immediately see cute outfits on the mannequin and/or semi organized groups of clothing, all the clothes at Ross are just kind of squished together in countless rows.

Tips for success? Have lots of time on your hands, because it can take lots of digging to find that treasure. Look through pretty much everything, carefully. Be open minded. And you will probably find something that's so darn cheap and cute. Then after bunches of compliments, you can say, "Thanks, I got it at Ross!"
